Autism ID card
This card is issued to the person with autism once evidence of diagnosis has accepted
Each card has a photo of the person with autism
Card must be presented when booking or attending an event
People with autism will offered discounts at our corporate partners or the carer will go free
Each applicant will be required to submit, through our secure portal, documented clinical evidence of a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder. These cards are only available to applicants that provide this information.
All ID cards are fitted with unique hologram technology to ensure these cannot be copied or reproduced by any other source.
Our cards are Not issued by any other organization and are issued Directly from our head office in Limerick.
Who can apply?
Any person with autism from any country can apply for and use our Autism ID Card.
We will accept a diagnosis in form of a clinical document from a verified practitioner. However, Please note that recognition of the document is at the discretion of the service and is subject to verification.
We are not confirming that any company will accept this card unless they are listed on our website
There is no legal obligation for companies or state organisations to accept this card. This card is not a legal right to services or privilege. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Physiotherapy Counselling practitioners are NOT Medical Doctors (MDs). Psychotherapy Counselling practitioners are trained specialists who use non-invasive practices to create a healthy environment for the mind, body and spirit.
I understand that I should continue to see any medical doctors I am currently under the care of, and that any prescription medication should not be altered without first consulting the Doctor who prescribed it.
Nothing said, done, typed, printed or reproduced by ASD Ireland is intended to diagnose, prescribe, treat or take the place of a licensed physician.
Each session is in 10 week block for the duration of one hour, once these sessions are complete, if you require further support we will provide referral to General practioner.
Where there is risk of significant and immediate harm to you, a child or vulnerable adult. We will follow risk policies and notify either General practioner, Garda siochana, Tusla, CAMHS or other appropriate service.
While participating in these sessions you agree to act with integrity by being on time, clean, properly dressed, and respectful in sessions, demonstrate the appropriate behavior for the safety of everyone. To not attend any provider sessions while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, obey the rules established by each provider.
I understand that ASD Ireland is not liable for my healthcare.
I am fully aware of the risks and hazards connected with the activities of holistic treatments and practices and I am aware that such activities include the risk of injury and even death, and I hereby elect to voluntarily participate in said activities, knowing that the activities may be hazardous to my body and my property. I understand that ASD Ireland does not require me to participate in these activities. I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks of loss, property damage, or personal injury, including death, that may be sustained by me, or any loss or damage to property owned by me, as a result of being engaged in such activities, WHETHER CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF RELEASEES or otherwise, to the fullest extent allowed by law. I further hereby agree to INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS the RELEASEES from any loss, liability, damage, or costs, including court costs and attorney’s fees that Releasees may incur due to my participation in said activities, WHETHER CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF RELEASEES or otherwise, to the fullest extent allowed by law.
The Autism camps are provided by ASD Ireland is specifically designed for children with autism, while every effort is taken to prevent injuries, they can occur. By agreeing to these terms and conditions you indemnify ASD Ireland, it’s Directors, management, staff and volunteers from any claims for injury how so ever they arise. Parents are required to remain on the premises for the duration of the camps. ASD Ireland volunteers or staff will not under any circumstances provide the following; toileting support or intimate personal care unless consent is received in writing from parent or guardian.
Parents/guardians or Carers are required to take reasonable steps to supervise their children and must not leave the premises without expressed permission from volunteers or staff. This is for the protection of all children participating in the camp. While Siblings of children are permitted to attend they must be aware that these activities are designed for children with autism and siblings must not interfere with set up, layout or design of activities.
Verbal or physical abuse directed towards staff or volunteers will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Any parent, guardian, carer or participant that engages in such behavior will be requested to leave the premises. In such case no refund will be provided for remaining days.
Sensory toys on sale
For the duration of our camps we have toys and food products available for purchase by parents, guardians, carers and participants. ASD Ireland is required to provide these products in line with sale of goods legislation. ASD Ireland is in no way responsible for injury cased by misuse of any of these products.
All products are responsibly purchased from reputable companies and for safety purposes are CE marked. In the unlikely event of failure of these products, ASD Ireland will proceed in line with sale of goods legislation.
While ASD Ireland uses, develops and organises activities with outside companies, organisations and groups, ASD Ireland is in no way responsible for any injury either physically or mentally caused while using these services. This includes while on premises or at an outdoor event.
The movement group provided by ASD Ireland is specifically designed for children with autism, while every effort is taken to prevent injuries, they can occur. By agreeing to these terms and conditions you indemnify ASD Ireland, it’s Directors, management, staff and volunteers from any claims for injury how so ever they arise. Parents are required to remain on the premises for the duration of the groups. ASD Ireland volunteers or staff will not under any circumstances provide the following; toileting support or intimate personal care , unless prior written consent is received from parent our guardian.
Parents/guardians or Carers are under no circumstances permitted to enter the movement area without expressed permission from volunteers or staff. This is for the protection of other children participating in the group.

Spaces are provided by ASD Ireland, signage is provided by ASD Ireland. Signage is designed by management companies and is developed in line with parking space provision within legislation. The clamping is provided by PJR services through a contract with the management companies. ASD Ireland in no way receives any benifit from clamping nor have we control over which vehicle is clamped or released. This is at the complete discretion of PJR services. All clamping can be appealed by contacting PJR services. The fee for release is €100. This is a standard fee set out by the PSA and cannot be changed under any circumstances. ASD Ireland, it’s Directors, staff or volunteers are in no way responsible for persons that use these spaces without a valid permit. If a valid permit is displayed the vehicle will not be clamped. All permits are specific to a vehicle and cannot be removed and displayed on another vehicle without prior consent, this action may result in your vehicle being clamped. Any complaints or queries in relation to vehicle clamping can be dealt with by contacting PJR services. These terms and conditions are in place to ensure that the spaces are available for people that require them.
