Limerick autism camps
This is a socially inclusive activity for children with autism. Activities include art and crafts, music, movement, sensory play, basketball, soccer and much more. These camps run five times per year in school holidays. Siblings of children with autism attending the camp are welcome also. These are a place for children aged 2-18 years to play and learn in an inclusive, non judgmental and safe environment. (Booking essential)
Limerick ASD movement group
The movement group is specifically designed for children with autism. Children can attend this group which runs every Thursday in The Factory youth space, Galvone industrial estate Roxboro Limerick. This group supports children with autism to develop balance skills, movement and flexibility while supporting their sensory and vestibular needs. (Booking essential)
Limerick special needs sibling group
This group is designed for children that have siblings with special needs, it is a space where they can play, do art and crafts, listen to music and bake treats. Children aged 6-14 are welcome to attend. The sibling group is held on the first Friday of each month in the Factory youth space in Galvone industrial estate, Limerick from 6-8pm. (Booking essential)
Autism friendly initiative
Our Autism Friendly initiative supports local businesses and communities to become fully autism friendly. This includes supporting the person with autism from the moment they arrive in the premises to the moment the leave. We achieve this by implementation of a number of support which include staff training and awareness.
Psychotherapy counselling service
This is a service offered free of charge. It is available for persons with Autism over the age of 16 years, Parents and carers. These programs run over Ten weeks and provide support to three people in each 1:1 session. They are run in conjunction with Robert Rackley counselling psychotherapist.
